Here at Tortola Sailing & Sights we pride ourselves on being able to offer you a great skipper, who is patience and calm in 'all weathers'. Our instructors have bucket loads of experience and knowledge to share with you. We have had students cry at the end of the course because they didn't want to leave ............... come down and meet the guys.

Meet Captain Matt

Matt had several careers before settling into his dream job.....Sailing! His impressive sailing resume includes captaining a charter vessel in the Med for a few years, and offshore racing and teaching on both sides of Atlantic. With qualifications to teach sailing and power boating in RYA, ASA and IYT, Matt will be with you every step of the way, with his well tried teaching techniques and patience, he will help you with your sailing goals.

Matt has made BVI home for quite a while, and when he isn't with his students he enjoys fishing for some of the big pelagic fish found in the beautiful Caribbean waters, so on some of the longer passages you may catch him trolling a line! Beneath the waves he's also a PADI Dive Master so if diving is your thing, he is only too happy to advise or show you some of the best spots around!

Free time? When not on or in the water, his free time goes to tending his goats, chickens, dogs and cats.
