The Covid-19 outbreak
March 18, 2020
Yesterday the Premier announced that border entry into the BVI will be closed to all non residents effective from Thursday March 19th 2020, initially for one month. Despite the obvious impact on the local economy, we fully support the quick decision the BVI government has made in attempts to stop this pandemic hitting our shores.
We will be in contact with all students that are affected in the next few days but be assured that we will reschedule every single course that has already booked on one of our boats that is affected by Covid-19 without any additional fees.
For those of you that booked tuition onboard a chartered vessel we are waiting to hear what the charter companies' reaction is to this and will discuss each booking individually.
The BVI is still in recovery from the devastating hurricanes of September 2017 and this will impact every single one of the islanders hard. Our government doesn’t have the resources to pump in $billions to help the economy, the best thing you can all do is pledge to come back as soon as this pandemic eases.
Look after yourselves and the vulnerable. Social distancing and isolation are scary words but will save lives and help end this fast.
